LETTER FROM FUND BOARD MEMBERS:

We have decided to continue the fund bearing Miranda's name to support families with children with life threatening illnesses. We achieved 501c3 non-profit status with the IRS and we have been able to make several grants with the moneys we have received in donations. It is our intent to grow the fund and support as many families as we can who are experiencing such challenges.

The fund has no expenses as there are neither salaries nor administrative expenses. All involved are volunteers and the other expenses are absorbed by other businesses owned by the board members.

The board moves very quickly to respond to grant requests as we know that the requesting families are typically in need of assistance immediately. The families in need are usually referred to us by a hospital administrator in the medical facility providing the care to the child. This helps tremendously in validating the request and allows us to move quickly with the grant process.
